What is an NFC pen?
An NFC (near field communication) pen is a ballpoint pen with a built-in NFC chip. Simply holding a smartphone near the pen opens a pre-set link.
There’s no need to scan a QR code or install a special app. All the recipient needs to do is tap their phone against the pen.
The NFC chip can link to:

- a digital business card
- a landing page or special offer
- a registration form
- Instagram, LinkedIn or other social media platforms
- a careers page
- an online brochure or catalogue

Send us your logo or finished design. Let us know which website or page should open when someone scans the NFC pen.
Receive a digital proof
Once we’ve received your logo, we’ll prepare the design. You’ll then receive a digital proof for your approval.
We’ll take care of the rest
Once you’ve approved the design, we’ll print the pens, programme the NFC chips and test them to make sure everything works correctly. Your pens will then be delivered ready to use.

We can programme the NFC pen to open almost any publicly accessible URL, such as your website, digital business card, social media profile, careers page, registration form or a special promotional landing page.
No. We programme the NFC chips in advance using the URL you provide. Your pens will arrive fully printed, programmed and ready to use.
Our NFC pens contain an NTAG213 chip with 144 bytes of usable memory. The exact number of characters available for a URL depends on the URL itself and the characters used. As a general guideline, we recommend a URL of no more than approximately 130 characters. If your link is longer, please contact us.
No. Most modern smartphones have a built-in NFC reader, so there’s no need to install a special app. The recipient simply holds their phone near the NFC pen and can open the pre-set link straight away.
Yes. The pen can be printed on both sides. For example, you can have your logo on one side and a short message or call to action on the other.
Our NFC pens are available in blue, black, green, red, purple, white, orange and yellow. This allows you to choose a colour that matches your logo, brand identity or marketing campaign.
The minimum order quantity is 50 NFC pens. Larger quantities can be ordered in multiples of 50. The more pens you order, the lower the price per pen.
Yes, we can programme different links within a single order. Please contact us in advance to arrange this.
Yes. Would you like to see and test the NFC pen before placing an order? You can order a sample and receive a purple Wizard Card NFC pen, allowing you to assess the quality of the pen, the printing and the NFC functionality for yourself.
The sample is not personalised with your own logo or design. If you decide to place a full order afterwards, you can choose your preferred pen colour and custom printing.
Yes. Want to track how much website traffic comes from your NFC pens? You can provide a URL with UTM parameters. This allows you to identify traffic from your NFC pens in Google Analytics and measure the results of a trade show, event or marketing campaign.
Please note that UTM parameters make your URL longer, and the NFC chip has limited memory capacity. Not sure whether your URL will fit? Feel free to contact us before placing your order. We’ll be happy to check whether your URL can be stored on the NFC chip.
The average delivery time is approximately 10 working days after your design has been approved. Do you need your NFC pens by a specific date or for a trade show or event? Please contact us in advance. We’ll be happy to see what’s possible.
