How Digital Business Cards Support Hamiplant’s Rebranding

Header Hamiplant

For over 40 years, Hamiplant has been a leading supplier of indoor and garden plants across Europe. Based in the Westland region of the Netherlands, the company supplies garden centres, supermarkets, DIY stores and wholesalers throughout Europe every day with a wide range of high-quality plants.

With a team of around 300 employees, Hamiplant works closely with everyone in the supply chain, from growers to retailers. By making smart use of technology and data, the company helps customers create attractive, sustainable and profitable plant displays. Flexible service, reliable deliveries and close collaboration are at the heart of its approach.

Hamiplant believes that greenery plays an important role in everyday life. Plants contribute to a healthier and more pleasant environment, both at home and in the workplace. With this in mind, the company continuously looks for ways to make plants accessible to a wider audience while making the supply chain more sustainable.

As part of Dutch Flower Group, Hamiplant is always exploring ways to make its processes smarter, more efficient and future-proof. When the company underwent a rebranding in early 2026 and reviewed its brand positioning, even a seemingly small detail came under consideration: its business cards.

Do Paper Business Cards Still Fit Our Organisation?

For Hamiplant, the switch to digital business cards wasn’t a direct response to a practical problem. It was primarily a strategic decision driven by the company’s rebranding and refreshed brand positioning.

“We mainly asked ourselves one question: does a traditional paper business card still reflect who we are as an organisation today?”

As an organisation with a strong focus on sustainability, innovation and supply chain optimisation, paper business cards were becoming an increasingly less logical choice. Business cards are often printed in large quantities, become outdated when employees change roles and eventually end up unused in a drawer or thrown away.

“That doesn’t align with our ambition to make conscious, future-focused decisions.”

According to Hamiplant, a digital solution is a much better fit for the way we work and communicate today.

“At a time when we manage and share almost everything through our phones, a digital business card feels much more natural.”

Rebranding: The Perfect Opportunity for Change

Hamiplant’s rebranding was the ideal opportunity to reassess other decisions within the organisation. Not just how the brand looks, but also how it presents itself in practice.

“We wanted our new brand identity to be reflected not only in our logo and communications, but also in the smallest details, such as the way we share contact details.”

The company therefore began looking for a solution that better reflected its modern and innovative approach. A way of networking that was not only practical but also demonstrated what Hamiplant stands for.

Digital business cards proved to be a natural next step. They fit into a world where almost everything is shared via smartphone and better reflect the company’s commitment to sustainability and innovation.

Why Hamiplant Chose Wizard Card

While searching for a suitable solution, Hamiplant soon came across Wizard Card. After a quick online search, it was the straightforward approach that stood out.

“What immediately appealed to us was the clarity,” Samantha explains. “Everything was clearly explained, the pricing was transparent and the solution matched exactly what we were looking for.”

For Hamiplant, it was important that the solution was easy to understand and could be put into practice straight away. No complicated systems, just a practical way to share contact details digitally that suited a modern organisation.

Alongside the solution itself, personal contact also played an important role in the final decision.

“Communication was quick and proactive, and they genuinely thought along with us. We felt they understood our organisation and our ambitions. That level of trust ultimately made the decision easy.”

A Smooth Transition to Digital Business Cards

Hamiplant’s switch to digital business cards went smoothly. Thanks to direct communication and short lines of contact, everything could be arranged quickly.

“Communication was personal and direct, which allowed us to move quickly,” Samantha explains. “There was room for questions and customisation, without making the process unnecessarily complicated.”

Internally, the biggest benefit was the time saved. Traditional business cards often involve several steps, including design, print proofs, ordering and stock management. With digital business cards, the entire process is much simpler.

“Making changes is easy, and new colleagues can quickly be provided with a professional business card.”

Everything is managed centrally, allowing Hamiplant to respond flexibly to changes without having to order new printed cards.

More Than Just a Business Card

According to Hamiplant, the biggest advantage lies in the combination of professional appearance, flexibility and the impact it has during conversations.

“The digital business card fits perfectly with our refreshed brand positioning and reflects our innovative approach,” Samantha says. “It really feels like an extension of our brand.”

The digital business card also offers another unexpected benefit: it helps spark new conversations.

“It surprises people. We often get questions about it, and it's a natural way to share our vision on sustainability and innovation.”

For Hamiplant, it’s therefore not just a practical way to share contact details, but also an opportunity to tell the company’s story.

A simple business card becomes a way to show what Hamiplant stands for.
